A months-long noise nightmare in Van Nuys, California. LAPD officers arrested a man accused of blasting deafening train horns from his home multiple times a day. Neighbors say 50-year-old Gary Boyadzhyan turned their quiet street on Peach Avenue into a war zone, with horn blasts heard up to 3.5 miles away.
The dramatic Van Nuys arrest was caught on camera. In the footage, Boyadzhyan calls police “scum” and claims the noise was a “cry for help” related to a long-running personal dispute. Los Angeles police seized 10 train-style horns, a compressor, and alarm panels from the property.
Residents described the disturbing the peace ordeal as “like clockwork,” with horns set off at the same times each day. Some say the situation escalated over the last two years as Boyadzhyan’s behavior grew more erratic.
