According to KTLA, the bizarre find was reported near a business in Placentia. A viral photo appears to show a teddy bear covered in what authorities say might be actual human skin. The story quickly ignited a wave of concern and speculation online.

The Placentia Police Department hasn’t confirmed if the material is indeed human skin, but the object has been turned over to the Orange County Coroner’s Office for forensic testing.
