“Neighbor From Hell” – Months of Train Horn Terror Ends in Arrest
Van Nuys, California – A months-long noise nightmare has finally ended after LAPD officers arrested 50-year-old Gary Boyadzhyan for allegedly blasting deafening train horns from his home multiple times a day. Neighbors say the horns, heard up to 3.5 miles away, shattered the peace on Peach Avenue for months.
The dramatic arrest was caught on camera and shows Boyadzhyan calling police “scum” while being taken into custody. Authorities say he was arrested for disturbing the peace and that officers seized 10 train-style horns, a compressor, and alarm panels from his property. Residents described the daily blasts as “like clockwork,” claiming they happened at the same times every day.
Boyadzhyan told reporters the horns were a “cry for help” in an ongoing personal dispute, and vowed to keep blowing them until authorities addressed his concerns. His court date is set for September 8, 2025.

Neighbors Speak Out
Residents described living under constant stress, with horns set off at least three times a day. “It’s a total pain,” said Jim Phipps, who lives across the street. Others said the situation had been escalating for years.
